Like most websites, Whitepill and its hosting infrastructure may process standard request information needed to deliver and protect the site. This can include your IP address, browser and device details, requested pages, referring page, and request timestamps.

Whitepill uses Google Analytics to understand site usage. When the Analytics tag is enabled, Google may process page views, session statistics, approximate location, referral information, and browser and device information. This information is used to understand which parts of Whitepill are useful and to identify general usage trends.

Whitepill’s active application code does not directly save information in your browser’s local storage or session storage, and it does not set its own cookies.

The third-party Google Analytics script may set cookies associated with this site, such as _ga and _ga_<container-id> to distinguish visitors and maintain session state. Google documents a default lifetime of up to two years for these cookies, although browser rules and service configuration can shorten that period.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Doing so may limit site measurement but does not prevent you from reading Whitepill content.

Whitepill uses Google Analytics for audience and usage measurement.

Some milestone images are hosted by external organisations. Loading those images connects your browser to the image host, which may receive standard request information such as your IP address, browser details, and the page making the request. External articles and other linked sites have their own privacy practices once you visit them.

Information is used to operate, secure, measure, troubleshoot, and improve Whitepill, prevent abuse, respond to messages, and meet legal obligations.

Whitepill does not sell personal information. Information may be disclosed to the service providers described above, when required by law or a valid legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect the site, its visitors, or others from fraud, abuse, or security threats.

Records are kept only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, subject to provider settings, security needs, backups, and legal requirements.

Google, hosting providers, and external media hosts may process information in countries other than your own. Their handling of that information is governed by their respective terms, privacy policies, and applicable safeguards.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, or other action concerning your personal information. Requests can be made by email.

You can limit Analytics through browser privacy controls or use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on .

To make a privacy request, include enough information to identify the relevant interaction without sending unnecessary sensitive data. Whitepill may need to verify that a request relates to you before acting on it.
